Innovation is nothing more than the introduction of something new and its establishment on the market. And every innovation starts with an idea.
With InnoSparks we would like to bring the innovation concept at an early stage to you. Our goal is to encourage you to take ideas seriously, think them through and present them.
The idea may likely come from research, but may also address any other area at the university.
Are there flaws in a product? Does a method not work as it should be? Is there a better way to organize certain processes? Whether in the lab or the library, the lecture hall or the office - daily life is full of hassles. Can it be done any better? Sometimes it’s good to come up with completely new solutions - where others can benefit from them as well.
Some may want to change the world while others may simply want to make life easier. No idea is too crazy to think about it... possibilities are limitless!
Let's get these ideas off the ground together! The university is full of creative minds! This is the perfect chance to plow through your minds and drawers and pull out the sparkling ideas. And then get back to us!

| Is my idea good enough to be submitted? |
| We want to encourage creativity with the InnoSparks. There is no evaluation. Every idea is assessed by us. Ideas that we consider promising will be supported further. |
| How far must my idea already be developed? |
| Even if the idea is little more than a thought experiment so far, it should be submitted. |
| What support can I get? |
| We take a close look at all the ideas submitted and consider how we can develop them further, including in a joint discussion. In doing so, we can draw on a broad network both within and outside the university. |
| Is my idea protected? |
| We don't give anything away! The idea does not leave the walls of the university without the consent of the idea provider. |
| What is an innovation surprise package? |
| In German a pretty long word :) |
